Dr. Ketki Soin
Dr. Ketki Soin graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Biology, magna cum laude and obtained her MD from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, one of the country’s oldest and most renowned eye hospitals.
Dr. Soin performs cataract surgery including laser assisted (Femtosecond) cataract surgery and advanced technology intraocular lens implantation. She also performs corneal surgeries including corneal transplantation (DMEK, DSAEK, and PK), collagen cross-linking for keratoconus, and laser refractive surgery (LASIK/PRK). Dr. Soin is dedicated to treating the full range of medical and surgical disease including diabetic eye exams, dry eye, medical glaucoma, and other ocular health conditions. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the Cornea Society, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS).
Dr. Soin remains involved in clinical research, and has published many articles and book chapters. Throughout her career Dr. Soin has maintained an active commitment to volunteer activities both here and abroad: from volunteering in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina survivors to providing medical care in developing countries in the Caribbean and South Asia.
