Dr. George T. Frangieh

Dr. George T. Frangieh is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, specializing in anterior segment, refractive and cataract surgery. He is a senior member of the American Board of Ophthalmology as well as the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He is also affiliated with the American Medical Association, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the International Society of Cosmetic and Laser Surgeons and the Massachusetts Medical Society.


Following his chief residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Dr. Frangieh completed an Ocular Pathology fellowship at the prestigious John Hopkins Medical Center followed by a Cornea & Refractive Surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.


Dr. Frangieh’s surgical experience extends well over 20 years and encompasses more than 10,000 refractive procedures. He is sought out by patients from all over the country for his superior surgical abilities. As a testament to his surgical expertise, his patients include professional athletes, media personalities and local & national celebrities. He is part of the Harvard Medical School clinical faculty at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, where he is actively involved in training the next generation of eye surgeons. His academic activities have earned him several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is regularly invited to present at various professional courses all over the U.S. as well as internationally.


Dr. Frangieh serves as the President of Eye Care Specialists. He is also a part-owner of the Qunicy Laser Eye Center, where he performs his LASIK procedures. He also operates at the Cataract and Laser Center in Dedham. In addition, he has staff privileges at the Norwood, Faulkner and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospitals.
